Honestly it feels like this city would rather bulldoze heritage buildings for a parking garage entrance than approve a building without parking.
Can you give an example of this? Heritage Preservation Services reviews development proposals separately from Planning at the city of Toronto.

At least they try to make it an effort in New York City the Middle East etc to build these types of buildings! But in Toronto it's taboo ! !

Thanks lol. If those exterior groved paneling are made out of some light metal alloyed. That can be bolted to the main vertical beams. That could create and illusion of indentation. This type of technique is being used on the One Yonge's first tower and One Yorkville tower. Which are bolted on etc to the towers vertical beams.

It's certainly an elegant design, would love to see it rise, but perhaps elsewhere in the core...

Agree although that part of Yonge could do with a shot in the arm. AURA is directly north of it and Concord Sky across the street might not be any better.

There is new lobbying activity on this one, which last we heard was headed to the OLT.

Hearing date coming up? Hmmm

Edit to add: Just checked, hearing date is Sept 7th, 2022.
