I think many, if not most, would look at Biden winning the ticket as just that - abandoning the socialist far left and a return to the centre. And even so, the number of elected socialists in the Democratic party can be counted on fingers. It's not like it is a tidal wave or anything.
And if the GOP won't take Donald J. Trump or Donald Trump Jr. at the top of the ticket, they'll start the Trump party. Which would be good for the Democrats, at least, electorally.

When people say radical in terms of Dems it has more to do with policy's the extreme side of the party want and to be clear most of the party or Dems supports would not stand for.

Asides from the necessity of extracting Trump because he’s a monster I don’t see a blue wave as a desirable outcome.
I see two primary purposes to voting: exercising a check on power, and having a representative diversity of interests contribute to the balance of power dynamic.
Populism seems to have devolved the idea into an identity team building exercise.
Truth as I see it is none of these guys are on your team. They should be viewed as barely tolerable annoyances you simultaneously need to project your interests and at the same time need to protect yourself from.

As previously noted, Oregon has voted to decriminalize personal possession/use of all drugs; and Florida voted for a minimum wage of $15USD by 2026
Also passed:
1) New Jersey, Arizona and South Dakota all legalized recreational marijuana.
2) Colorado voted for Paid Family Leave
3) Colorado also voted to restore Grey Wolves (currently extirpated); that one was a squeaker 50.3% in favour.
4) Arizona actually voted to rise income tax on high earners (over 250k, to support public education)

Ironically, the pandemic's validation of mail-ins has also revalidated glacial voting pace--consider the BC and Sask elections, and how neither has "final" figures as of yet.
