Mississauga Community Common Park COMPLETE

I think one day you might see something like the very generically named Eastgate Parkway renamed after Hazel.

Just about ready...

This park is looking great. A bit jealous that MCC is getting a nice central park while NYCC has the smallish Mel Lastman Square and that's it. It great to see Mississauga grow up and it's centre urbanize quite nicely.

Mel lastman park is great - particulary after the small renovation they completed recently ... and heavily used all the time throughout the year. If you're referring to the grassy area I'll give you that - there is no park of that like in NYCC - although I should note there are a lot parks off to the side i.e. around empress south closer to sheppard.

Still pretty darn nice ... not as good as sherbone park or sugar beach (but frankly nothing is :) but it seems more attention to detail was made then say cityplace park ... definitely HTO.

You know what scratch that ... I took a better look in person ... it's not as nice as cityplace park; It may be if it's better well maintained. Mississauga civic square definitely is though.

I guess the purpose of sloping this little bit of green space is so the few children who may be living in this "soon to be dense" area won't be encouraged to try any type of sport such as soccer or basebeall. We all know these types of activities just lead to misconduct.

From my observations, kids, in general, like running up hills and rolling down them particularly in the winter, I know I did when I was a kid. The slope can double as an amphitheatre of sorts for outdoor movie nights, plays, etc.

Please note that there is already a soccer field along with tennis courts and a playground in Zonta Meadows (will be expanded and updated) which will eventually connect with Parkside Village park and MCC Common.
