Not sure why there are 2 threads

Can anyone comment on whether electrical wiring is standard for bedrooms and living areas?

I understand that the foyer, hallways, kitchen and bathrooms come with light fixtures. Do the wiring/light switches come with the units or do they require upgrades?

They're typically wired but don't always come with fixtures. I know I had to put up several lights after unit purchase [different building].

I typically see capped outlets/light fixture in the dining area and bedrooms only ... no ceiling lights are usually provided in the living room (unless upgraded)

I'm a resident in this building so I can answer your question. You're right with the foyer, hallways, kitchen and bathroom ceiling lights being standard. The living room has a capped ceiling outlet with associated light switches while the bedroom there's none. Getting a ceiling light fixture in the bedroom is an upgrade.

Thanks everyone for your input.

aiekon - Do you have any idea on the costs associated with the bedroom light wiring/switch?

I don't really have a problem with putting in my own light fixture, but it would be a mess to do it after the drywall is already up.

Oh dear. The taste of these buyers is appalling! Why so much beige and brown? And the wall colour choice makes me wanna puke. About the only think I do like is the double sink kitchen. With views as dreary as those, you need bold colours to liven things up!

When I start agreeing with you Urban, then perhaps the world really is going to to ratsh*t. Such nice space, yet such dull, dreary finishes. Thats the view?! Can't possibly be a penthouse. Brand new and yet I have an urge to go in there and gut the place.

this unit looks good.
dark cabs with white marble counters for the bath is nice but i don't like the 2nd bath with the red-brown counter.
i like the dark and white pallet but personally i'm getting tired of the dark wood floors that's been so prevalent in the past 5 years.

That unit took a page out of a designer mag and used every cliche piece of furniture they could find ...
the space must be ultra small as almost everything was clear (polycaronate) and having LEM stools at the island is useless as there isn't an overhang for a counter.

126 Simcoe St

Been looking for a one bedroom downtown for a while, and notice a MASS amount of units listed at this addy

What does everyone know/think about this project/area/development?

Seems like there could be some value in it for someone in my position

Thanks
