GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

It was a full on mistake, not just bad wording: The service announcement was updated recently to fix the mkstake:

    VIA Rail

I’ve always been curious, do you have these for the entire network?

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

This is a few weeks old now, bollards are being installed at the front of the Bay East Moat: This area is such a disaster, I wish a bigger focus was put on fixing up the sidewalks and streets around Union during the renovations.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

The previous plans had 2 to 3 physical platforms at St. Clair, I’m pretty sure the current plan is 2. Why would this station have needed 3 platforms in previous designs?

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

This is what’s happening, every non-Niagara Falls train going to and from Confederation is based out of Lewis Road, although it’s not hourly.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Someone here surely knows better than me, but I believe the isn’t any signalling to allow trains to turn around at Confederation

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

From what I’ve been able to gather, this will be the service beginning, stopping, or terminating at Confederation GO from October 27th: Monday-Friday: Confederation 05:50-Union Station 07:17 Confederation 06:51-Union Station 08:18 Confederation 07:34-Union Station 09:04 - NF Confederation...

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

The article says 8 trains per direction on weekends is starting on the 1st of November. 4 trains per direction on weekends begins on the 26th of October I’m not saying either of you are wrong, it still does sound too good to be true. It was worded ominously and we’ll just have to wait and see...

GO Transit: Union Station Shed Replacement & Track Upgrades (Zeidler)

If a tunnel existed it wouldn’t be under there, it would be under the office building/arena to the left of the dig site

GO Transit: Union Station Shed Replacement & Track Upgrades (Zeidler)

A lot of the progress has happened on the west side, wouldn’t be surprised if this concourse opened in 2 phases that are years apart from each other

They’ve run one to two Milton Line trains per direction the past two closures

I’m not sure what work is currently happening to the exterior of the Headhouse, but I really don’t like the metal trim currently being added. It’s not polished and it sticks out like a sore thumb. I’m hoping this is just temporary but it’s already been installed in places the work has finished

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

The closures are scheduled around 12 months in advance. Running trains after a special event is totally different from syncing multiple project timelines together for a 48 hour closure Also what day 1 fiasco at the Roger’s Stadium did Metrolinx respond to? There was always 3 additional...

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

On UrbanToronto I only use this account! I’ve thought about a website for everything I’ve ever made but I honestly don’t have the time to dedicate for that. Here are the 10 maps of Union Station I’ve done so far: When I’m finished the entire project I’m going to renumber the maps into...

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

The tenth map in my series of Toronto Union Station maps is finished. This layer focuses on the train platform level portion of Union Station between York Street and Bay Street: • York Concourse Entrances • VIA Concourse Entrances • Bay Concourse Entrances • Bremner Concourse Entrances • Bay...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

It’s not an official diagram from Metrolinx, it’s a recreation of the by someone on social media. The plan to switch Scarborough to ST has already been shown in The Trillium article seen earlier this year:

GO Transit Fleet Equipment and other

Are you able to say other stuff that could’ve been scaled back relating to Union? More specifically platform related stuff
  19. WB62

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

ST and LE local service sharing the single island platform takes away too much capacity from both lines, LE westbound trains would be stopping at a platform ST eastbound trains use. That’s something technically possible if the headways are massive, but not service every 15 minutes or less. LE...

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

You are a lifesaver!! Randomly discovered this level today through sheer curiosity on where that taxi sign led (never found any signs of a taxi area), I didn’t know the amenities down here are technically apart of the Union Station Bus Terminal:
