It costs money to maintain a building, and to sink in significant resources into a building that's not going to be leased out because tenant's know there's no long term future for it doesnt make any sense.
The fact that the TTC is even considering this is pretty astonishing. I dont know what sparked this but whatever it is, it's refreshing to see.
Now let's see if all or even part of this gets implemented, and can get through residents in the area who will no doubt bring pitch forks to protest this.
Well to be fair, the series was extremely competitive up until the end even though the Jays had countless opportunities to win it all.
The Leafs on the other hand are just a laughing stalk embarrassment who dont even put up a fight.
Well again, that's going off of Metrolinx' "promises" of GO Expansion.
We've seen it with them time and time again, they promise one thing and a whole other thing unfolds. GO Electrification is so down in the future, and the scope keeps getting watered down. We really dont know when expansion...
Literally the worst way to lose any championship, such a sad one so close. 2 outs away from winning it all.
That Game 6 dead ball will haunt this team for years.
And the New Flyer XE40s have been apparently in service less over the past few weeks.
This electric bus experiment doesn't seem to be going so well overall. Who knows what problems the Novas are going to bring; any failures there could be quite spectacular since the TTC didnt test those buses...
Call me crazy, but if Metrolinx had brains they also would engage with Oxford and pay up some $$$ to build in a provision for another bus terminal inside the HUB.
GO buses aint going anywhere, anytime soon from the current station and it's only getting busier.
Are we really hoping for this to move faster though?
Personally they can take their sweet time, because this is probably the best this project will ever look BPD (Before Pemberton Dreck).
It's better to overbuild, then underbuild. Toronto is a growing city, and the terminal wouldn't just be serving TTC buses.
It's beneficial to build for more capacity, than under capacity or just to capacity.
Just look at the Union Station Bus Terminal, it was built on the premise that GO would...
He would still be the best person to announce the opening of the Crosstown line. There's no one who can drum up excitement like him.
Actually while the province is at it, they should call up Mike Harris and have him at the opening. He played a monumental role in ensuring the completion of this...
Honestly I dont think that there's a single thing Metrolinx can do properly at this point, asides from operating the GO Bus network.
Let's run through a little list:
-They cant build GO stations without it taking eons and being overbudget,
-They cant plan and keep the construction of rapid...
The sad, and sorry Rick Leary has crawled out from the sewers and gutters (where frankly he still belongs).
I don't know who would ever take this clown seriously at City Hall, especially with how he crippled the TTC and it's operations but here we are...
As I pretty much said, and its official. It was the last day for the Sobeys at Kipling and Queensway yesterday.
Ill miss the childhood memories of this store:
There's no plans to rebuild that stretch anytime soon though as it's not in the scope of the total rehabilitation project, or did i miss something recently?
But there's only so much re-imagining this city can handle at once apparently.
We're still trying to re-imagine Yonge St, and John St. Adding Front St can push this city off a cliff.
