    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Cross posting from the GO Construction thread because I think it's sort of crazy how the giant GO station is seemingly just lumped into the OL, its a really epic facility! https://urbantoronto.ca/forum/threads/go-transit-construction-projects-metrolinx-various.9023/post-1958730

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I think it's a bit crazy how under the radar Exhibition is going, as just "part of" the Ontario Line: This is easily the most substantial GO Station besides Union, it's got retail, it'll be connected to high density residential, it's got streetcar and subway connections, it appears the GO...

I will go add that to the thread, Ex always looked great awesome to see it appears they are going ahead with this epic design. Makes sense to put gates around GO too.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Thanks for putting these up! I linked back to your post and wrote a Twitter thread here: The stations are certainly deep, but they do appear to have lots of capacity, quite interesting seeing the elevator only entrances and the mined passages - reminds me of Crossrail in that way. A lot of...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I've had quite a few conversations about that honestly, and it's the usual reasons

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

I’ve been advocating for this for a long time, so here is my latest video on an expanded Spadina station plus some drawings I did.

    Toronto Bloor-Yonge Station Capacity Enhancement | ?m | ?s | TTC | AECOM

What are the odds the PSDs get cut, I am hoping this time is different but do recall they were planned for TYSSE as well. Is there something preventing that here?

    Toronto Bloor-Yonge Station Capacity Enhancement | ?m | ?s | TTC | AECOM

If it's included in the design full height could even help with the ventilation by isolating the L1 tunnel from the station in theory

    Toronto Bloor-Yonge Station Capacity Enhancement | ?m | ?s | TTC | AECOM

The TTC pisses me off frequently, but this is such absolutely kickass awesome news. Thank you big time! Torontonians are going to benefit in a huge way! And good on the TTC for changing the plans on this! Lil thread:

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I got the amazing opportunity to check out the tunnel boring machine building the Eglinton West extension! Enjoy the tour!

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

I never said it was easy, but you are also assuming a level of detail that is completely unfair. The subway station at agincourt could be moved around quite a bit! This would give you more flexibility to move the alignment going southeast and the portal, the CP line is substantially above grade...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Only strange until you look at the bus ridership in the area which amounts to hundreds of thousands a day, with many of the most used routes in North America. . . (high use in a global context actually). Its nice that transferring is of no concern to you, but when planning multi billion dollar...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Alright, I guess it's not even worth discussing if we can't agree on a single shared reality. I personally think transfers are an inconvenience that we should avoid when we can, but maybe I'm wrong! This is not a very generous interpretation of what I said in video / what any reasonable above...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

As pointed out in the video going from just south of Agincourt could be above ground if cost is THAT big of an issue, there’s a ton of space and OL has shown it’s politically feasible. Going slightly further to get a better connection also makes sense. We are spending tens of billions on new...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

It’s just not at all uncommon for a rapid transit line to divert to hit a major hub and then divert back. There are lots of places on the tube where such things happen, the great thing about tunnels is that we can divert off of a major corridor to hit a Hub and then go back. It’s way better to...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

Here is my new video on the Sheppard Line & its extension possibilities! I actually feel really strongly that this is an important project and the best solution for the Sheppard Line, and I've addressed most of the expected criticisms. Enjoy!

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

Lots of cities have changed route names, riders were ok! We’ve changed routes before and it’s been fine. People endlessly tell me whether by email, in person, or in comments that Torontos wayfinding (Finch included is confusing) I’ve experienced it first hand!

    Toronto Union Station Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | NORR

I’m not talking about the T (though many systems do have a unified indicator so I’m not sure why people seem to be suggesting that’s a bad idea - when the actual issue is the generic unoriginal indicator chosen) ! I was responding to your assertion that it’s ok if things are bad and confusing...
