    Yonge Street as a whole is a write off until it is reconstructed as part of the Yonge TOmorrow study. Tender & Construction is slated for 2023-2025 but that may be the first phase. Basically, we have to wait another 10 years before expecting a better streetscape in this part of town.

    Correct me if i'm wrong but that may be because the bricks on the higher portions are precast panels, while the ones below are individually laid (as seen in previous photos). I think the intent was for them to match but this is as close as they were able to get it.

    Yeah, given the building boom we've experienced, it's not crazy to expect more from a proposal in 2021 (almost 2022). Though the final product is acceptable, it is uninspired and basically looks like they took the Tea house condo buildings on Yonge and merged them into one.

    I for one miss seeing the layers of buildings and find the warm tones and detailing of the HBC building to be a nice contrast to the glass towers. On the plus side the simpsons reclad and CF sign have been blocked from view. For comparison purposes (Source: @bilked)

    Mouthwatering cladding. Nice to see Westbank putting their money where their mouth is with regards to their commitment to beauty. I'm interested in seeing the residential portion treatment as i believe thinner fins will be used there. Should provide some nice variety of textures.
