Funny, I have noticed the same Gangster Burger sign for the last few weeks from the 26 bus. No clue what it's like, though. I like Coffee Culture. Very similar to Williams (coffee plus desserts, soup, sandwiches, etc.). Nice and comfortable. Not overly-cookie cutter.

The site has been cleared and I believe they are either sold out, or nearly there (they were at 90% shortly after going on sale). So I would expect construction soon.

The Square One Richtree is indeed staying as a Richtree. The hoarding now has a rendering of 'Open Kitchens by Richtree'. Looks like they are trying to differentiate themselves from Movenpick:

I like the design, and I like that they have decided to vary the heights a bit, even if they are just doing it to be cautious of the market. Drum, are you saying Daniels wanted to go taller on this one, but council declined?

The signs do say Richtree, which seems odd. But they are just ones someone printed up on computer, so I suspect they meant to say Movenpick.

There are now signs up on the Square One Richtree/Marche saying reopening in May.

Square One is actually creating an even bigger unit from the old Roots location...it now includes Roots, MYAC, Fine Gold and Buffalo for a total of 11,340 sq ft. That's a pretty big location...wonder who the tenant could be? Seems a bit big for a fashion retailer, unless it's a 'big box' one...
