I would imagine that the Disney Store is either renovating the existing store or moving to a new location, to allow them to open an Imagination Park format store. It's one of the few stores that has not yet been converted.
The NB Hurontario>EB 401 ramp is complete (including side rails and signage/reflectors), but it dumps to south of the 410 on-ramp, so I have no clue if it will be used any time soon. Perhaps they just completed it now since it's somewhat outside the main bridge construction area.
Sorry, it's too dark in the AM when I pass by these days. But it's there! And it looks like Blundell Road will now connect to Walmart and on to Dundas, which will help traffic a lot. They are converting it to a 'real' road instead of a parking lot access road right now.
I use Dixie GO, and it's literally feet from the platform. I wonder if they will have an opening in the fence to access the store from the GO lot (I think I know the answer, but still hoping they do).
Let's hope they don't make the mistake of going with the partial core/collector option through the 407 interchange. Shades of the 401/427.
Back on topic, I noticed that a new ramp from NB Hurontario to WB 401 has been paved, and much of the new collector has an asphalt topcoat.
The spans over the highway itself are still missing (the ones that are up cantilever over a part of the road, but the last section doesn't appear to have any supports.
From what I have heard, Target will not be content with slapping their name on the old Zellers locations (like Walmart did with Woolco in the 90s). There will be major construction/demolition/rebuilding of the sites.
Target's new Distribution Centre is under construction in Milton. 1.3 million square feet located off of Boston Church Road (north of the 401 between James Snow and Hwy. 25).
I noticed that they have installed the overhead signage gantries (and signs, although covered) on the future WB collector, east of Hurontario. I guess they will move traffic onto that within the next few months.
No, these are exit ramps only, I believe - one way. For sure the timing at Whittle will have to change to accommodate all the EB traffic. I would imagine the westbound Britannia traffic flow will improve, since the delays are caused by the capacity restraints on Hurontario.
