Funny enough I went to the Raptors game yesterday and walked through union station. Completely different from what I remember back in the day. The new part looks nice and fresh, not as bright as it could or should be in my opinion, but I was there in the night.
Seems like there's still a lot of...
Well that's dumb, ppl in the northern part of the city limits of Toronto would like to go from east to west or west to east
I mean isn't that the best way to layout transit lines - east - west lines with north n south lines n interchange stations?
Sorry for my ignorance as I haven't visited union station since maybe sometime in my 20s and I'm currently 36....
The Cinnabon that was pretty much infront of the entrance heading towards the ACC is gone ? Is that whole area revitalised? I remember that's where the go train ticket booths were...
Apparently a northern crosstown is not a priority and the ,407 transit way should be used as the northern crosstown link...... I'm just reiterating what someone said to me in these treads recently
As a Scarborough resident I didn't oppose the LRT, so you speaking as if everyone I'm Scarborough was well informed or was aware in general, makes your disingenuous sarcasm even more of pompous
When is the public realm under the elevated structure supposed to be finished. I have no clue exactly where this section of the city is but I would like to visit it once everything is finished. Seems like a cool place to walk and light one in the air lol
I'm confused as to why Sheppard needs to divert south when the Danforth line is already going to STC. If someone on Sheppard wants to get to the STC, then transfer at Sheppard n McCowan and take the Danforth line one stop south.
Bringing Sheppard to STC precludes it from heading east and...
Exactly - we have 1 current east/west line with any sort of length, soon we will be getting crosstown, and lakeshore line, nothing above Eglinton in terms of a east west alignment.
It would be one Xtra stop and one transfer to get to STC from Sheppard n McCowan, diverting the Sheppard line to STC defeats the purpose imho. Scarborough residents are typically trying to get across the city or downtown. We have a couple ways to get downtown but across the city in the north is...
Looks kinda sorta sleek I suppose. I like the signage against the wall with the station names.... Wrap this up already, looks like they're so close yet so far
What would stops look like,
Consumers / VP / Warden / Kennedy/Go / McCowan ??
Obviously I would like it to go to Markham or Morningside, but I doubt that happens.
I can also see them bypassing McCowan and just going to STC after Kennedy
So has any shovels actually gone in or down on this project yet or is everything right now just preliminary work?
Is what going on the at exhibition preliminary work ?
