    I think it would be a shame if Via got away from checked baggage since I think that's one of the big advantages for them over GO trains or coach travel, and I imagine there would be more demand if there was a substantive shift away from domestic flights to rail for routes like Toronto-Montreal...

    Yup. Ontario continues to act like shortline freight rail is an anachronism when countries like Germany are pushing for new industrial developments to have rail access, and retrofit existing ones with it that don't have it already, under climate goals.

    This is another good example of how stigmatizing "wheelie kids" is fundamentally stigmatizing kids on bikes. I see teens on bikes doing stupid stuff all the time, but at the end of the day, at least they're on a bike. Teens doing stupid stuff in cars has a much, much worse track record.
