    General railway discussions

Don't we spend a crazy amount per person for first nations issues, and they're mostly self governing on the reserves?

    Streetcar Tracks on Adelaide

I'm not sure about the cut in the photo I quoted but I meant more in general, they repaved 1 lane on queensway and within 2 weeks they had 3 cuts

    Streetcar Tracks on Adelaide

Shame, brand new road and there are already ugly utility cuts, I find whenever they repave one magically shows up a month later

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Toronto is weird, there are a couple of (non eglinton) intersections trigger with zero cars (they have the ground and microwave sensors) There are also some that never trigger even with 10+ cars and 311 confirmed they're working fine

    General railway discussions

To be fair the lower taxes party in Ontario has given us the biggest transit expansion in history, and fare integration. (OTOH it seems left or right nobody cares about day to day operations, just announcing expansions) You either have the lower taxes privatize party or the $80 million for...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I'm sort of curious why the left turn light will trigger at some intersections even for 0 cars

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

The QEW is the only highway where people seem to generally go less than the limit in my experience. (minus the HOV usually) Also took the Gardiner with the closure today, added a lot to my commute. Can't imagine for the people who leave later. I guess we get to see if induced demand really...

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

Why can't they just rewrite the fucking HTA? Every January they add new bits some of them questionable, this would be an ok use

Wonder how things will be with the cap of rideshare cars Also semi unrelated maybe I'm doing downtown wrong but it's basically never occurred to me to visit any of the union station retail

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Knowing some wheeltrans riders I wonder how much the increase is due to people feeling more safe being out in public in 23 vs 22. I also wonder does ANYONE prefer the family of service trips where you have to use the subway for part of a trip vs just having a mostly direct ride, I remember...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

All but 1 of the "temporary" poles have been there for at least 5 years

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Thanks for ignoring the rest of my post! I guess the irony cut deep. I never said to make it flat I doubt anyone else did either, just to make it more aesthetic in the future
