There was a Metro (former A&P) at the Midtown mall just to the west of downtown Oshawa. That space is now empty, as is most of the mall itself except for repurposed offices. I keep waiting for a total redevelopment proposal for all the Midtown Mall lands. As it sits currently, it just screams...

In my opinion, the senior staff, who are used to and worked their way up in this type of model have no problem staying with an employer, however newer younger staff are harder to retain as staff under this model.

Hopefully this shows well enough. The tunnel from Union to the Royal York went from VIA's arrival area just to the west of the ramp doors up to front street. The Royal York is still connected to the PATH system from the East side into Royal Bank Plaza just on the North Side of the Subway station.

I believe this fencing was only installed because too many bus passengers were un-safely crossing Bay St. to and from the old bus terminal and the main Union Station instead of using the bridge across. Now that this will no longer be an issue, the fencing can be permanently removed.

GO Transit employees have never struck in the history of the company. I'm sure all rail yards will be targeted for picket lines including places like the Lincolinville yard in Stouffville, the Allendale yard in Barrie and all the other overnight storage yards in the system.
