My occupancy is November 1st and I'm a first time homebuyer. I didn't realize I need to find a lawyer pretty soon to deal with payments. To reduce the occupancy fee, Dorothy said I could pay more on the outstanding purchase price and I would have to contact her and my lawyer to do so. Do...

Does anyone know when I could request special electrician services while the walls are being built? i.e if I wanted wall sconce lighting in the bedroom and wanted light fixtures against the wall, can that be done afterwards by an electrician?

I chose the dark espresso colour. It'll look nice against light carpet and furniture

No it's true. No standard light fixtures in the dining room

Let me clarify. There are no light fixtures in the living room and bedroom unless you upgrade.

Ken, the picture of the bathroom showerhead is an upgrade for around $700, or even the better one for $1600. The standard showerhead is a tiny little snout.

Different colour schemes are upgrades. Or you can just choose the standard ones.

I agree and realize that it's cheaper to do on my own especially kitchen backsplash and the easier things. I'm not too keen on changing showerheads myself later on so I decided to just use upgrade. I guess you can change the kitchen faucet yourself later but I'm willing to pay to be lazy and...

I didn't know that the levies case was resolved and there would be a $3000 cap. I guess that's better than $10k. Good to know for budgeting. My prices are at home but I can try to recall them from memory... There are a lot more upgrade options than what's seen in the pictures that are in the...

I picked my finishes on Friday and last notice indicated occupancy in November. It took me about 1.5 hours but I've already been there to browse before. And I think its safe to say that you have to pay levies unless there is any news that say we don't anymore. Why do you assume that we don't?

My appointment is this Friday for G. What you say is interesting about moving in early. If we occupy early does that mean we start paying occupancy fees ("rent" that does not go towards mortgage) for a longer period until all units are occupied before there is a closing date? I wouldn't want...

If we pay for upgrades, does that increase the cost of your condo such that you'll be paying higher property tax? Or is it a separate payment?

Since occupancy isn't until november I will wait and probably have Shub as my lawyer. I don't have anything in my contract that places a limit on the amount of levy I could get charged.

Appointments would be with a design advisor during the weekday 9-4ish time frame. Weekends are for you to browse around by yourself. The appointment is meant for you to choose everything I believe: finishes, appliances, upgrades. Sorry I didn't look at the appliances; I don't recall seeing...
