Truly a shame that there is not enough to keep this part of town alive.......We were there maybe 6 years ago and found a BBQ place and it was pretty good...Not sure of the name or even if it is still in business. But a lot of history here......
My parents had a takeout joint on coxwell from 57 to 91..... after they sold it, it lasted another 16 years and finally disappeared after its 50th anniversary..... I frequented after the sale and miss their unique breaded shrimps to this day!
was it really? or were those cars with no owners....I graduated that year and there was not a job to be found....Back to school I went with a much better outlook in 1983....
i remember as a kid in the seventies I bought a bottle of green glow paint for building model kits etc...i spilt some on the sofa and there was a patch of glow for years when the lights were turned off...I wonder if there was any radioactivity in that paint???? I even can remember the smell of...

Thanks, I knew it had something to do with loblaws, but did not know of all the other renovations.....The last time I was there, I had to babysit the generator which powered the tv lights exclusively....I remember vividly the leafs and wings were playing but I could only see from the mechanical...
