York St Promenade: The security office window is closed -- is the office moved or behind the hoarding...?
It moved to the unit directly east (right) of the old office. It has a much nicer look now

It is not really the best way or fastest to go to the bus station that way but I agree it would have been a good idea to note it was possible.I could complain about Union signage all day, but I can’t believe this sign doesn’t mention:
Front St
Union Station Bus Terminal
(potentially a stretch but still accessible via the new bridge
GO Trains
It’s a brand new sign and major destinations people want to go to from this area are missing

True, if CIBC lets the public walk through on upper levels. They may want to keep us restricted to the direct east west PATH routes and the north south Teamways. From this point in the station to the bus terminal it’s a shorter route that would only require one elevator/escalator vs 4 going the current signed, longer route through the station and the arena.

You make a good case - at least for people walking in from Front Street. Those arriving by subway or train are still probably best going vai Scotia Bank ArenaIt’ll be the most natural route for people arriving in the Great Hall.
Walk off the Great Hall towards the bridge, then down an escalator into the teamway towards the bus terminal and you’re there.
Explaining to passengers to walk down an escalator, through the Bay concourse, then find the Scotiabank Arena door, then towards an up escalator is certainly not the best nor fastest way.
The new south concourse will improve this but I still think the Great Hall route is the easiest to explain and the most direct path to anyone arriving at the station to get on a bus.

Seems reasonable. At our condo board meeting 2 weeks ago, we were told that the Union/CIBC Square Path bridge would be open by Christmas and the Backstage/CIBC Square Path bridge will be open in early 2026.
The 'authorized parking' sign seems somewhat out of place now?
The state of the sidewalk and streetscape around Union is sad to see. Multi billion dollar project, more than a decade in progress and the areas around the station look horrible. You would imagine for such an expensive project we would get granite sidewalks, new street lighting, trees, garbage bins, seating, signage, etc. does any government leader in this city give a crap about public spaces and streetscape anymore?
