From all the renders of this on the Database, I think those inlets have always been intended as terraces. Although, I can understanding why many would of thought otherwise.
 
Yeah, I was sad to see the height chopped on this, but I think it's still great even at this height. If it was 280 metres it would've been something else.
When did it get chopped? Didn't realize it was originally taller. Great project overall but it does seem a little bit on the stubby side, was expecting a few more stories before the roofline started but here we are.
 
Yes, it got chopped...but as you can see, it's still a very big building.
